Are white walls good enough?? Also are the rocwools better than regular soil??

SO i was told that I could use aluminum foil on the walls for reflecting but i heard it absorbs a lot of the humidity needed.. So my question is, can i use the aluminum foil?? If not what can I use that is efficient and cost effective??
