maybe I'm misunderstanding, but taking your last pic literally, how do you get the water back out of the buckets that have the plants in them? the roots cannot stay wet all the time like that.

you want your in flow to be at the very bottom of the pots so they drain completely in between ebb & flows :) Second, you need a submersible shutoff switch set at a height such that you will not overflow. Might be easier to just buy the controller bucket?

clean it out every time you change the water. once a year with a 5% bleach solution. lines and pumps and everything. do you measure a different ph after each feeding?

op is really growing radishes.. :) jk. Nice and green, looks fine. 3 leaves are totally normal. Different seeds do different stuffs. Don't worry about how retarded they look in the beginning as long as they look happy.

fyi - cal/mag deficient plants will appear to have rusty veins and red leaf stems. what you have is not that, it's something else that is burning your leaves. Heat stress is when the plants curls and suck too much water.

what nizza said, and make sure you are keeping everything clean both in between grows and every time you change your water. clean clean clean. Are those rock left over from a previous grow, did you clean them before using them again? superstoner, can you tell us a little more about the light...

Ummmm, no. I don't think you understand how a wand works? You set them to a certain temp, when the water starts falling below that temp, they come on. I am currently using two in a 25 gallon res because ambient temps here are zero degrees. frozen water doesn't flow bro, lol. I have yet to see...

get one of those little heat wands with the suction cups on the side, they are like 20$ or something. your plants will be happier with less of a shock at feeding time. Shoot for 60 degree, maybe 65 but no more than that.

you can buy little heater wands to keep the temp up when it's cold, and just use frozen bottles of water a couple times a day if it get's really hot. you should have no problem keeping a covered resevoir right around 60-65 degrees F

follow the mfg recommendations for concentrations on the bottle. for my setup i keep the water between 65 and 75 deg F PH within 0.1 of 6.0 at all times. and set the timer at 2 ticks, 3 times a day. they are very happy with this. i can tell you that 3 ticks, 4 times a day is too much
