One other idea, you know those silica ball gel packets you see in packages of beef jerky and what not? the purpose of those is to remove humidity from the air. I've heard of people using them on a large scale like with what your doing. Might want to check those out.
forewarning: dehumidifiers create massive heat (the dehumidified air is heated before being released back into the environment). I would try venting air from your grow room to the rest of your house (assuming you don't mind the smell).
I got a dehumidifer because I had the same problem. I...
So my pH meter broke and I ended up using way too much pH down. I've offset the pH by using pH up. However, the combination of pH up and down has increased my ppms by 300.
This won't affect my plants will it???
lowered the ppms by 200 and it seemed to correct it. So either solely nute burn or that with a combination of lock out of calcium due to excessive magnesium or iron.
2 liter bottles eh?
not a bad idea considering the mj's root system likes to grow down more than out.
Doesn't look like they're really light proof or are they?
Can you explain this?
+rep xare for your help so far
Looks like you need to take another look at YOUR link http://www.starterupsteve.com/swf/posting.html?
What does your post add to the intellectual community of the forum? (rhetorical question, no need to respond) hah.
No wonder so many people end up leaving riu, so much hate.
Anyway, lets get...
K Farmer JJ, thanks for the reply but I think you've both misunderstood my question. I'm just talking about the lower fan leafs, not the fan leafs that would be blocking buds from the light
This is what I mean
See how the fan leaf on the bottom and the fan leaf to the right of it are both...
Also, look into the nutrients that you have been using. Are they high in salt content?
My plants kind of look the same as your (in hydro tho). People have said its nute burn. But if you have been using your nutes at consistent levels through out flower and are only getting this now, like I...
haha we'll see if this LED can do that
Thanks for the input guys. I just did a little trimming and just put them into flower. So its ok to trim up until the 2nd week of flower right? Cuz if thats the case, I'll see how much height they gain in this week and trim accordingly.
@karr: the top of...
K just making sure cuz logically to me you guys are right, more bubbles = more O2...but not according to that article. I've got a spare underwater pump laying around but not an extra air pump or air stone. plus I hear air stones get junky pretty quickly.
I hear what your saying but check this out
http://animals.howstuffworks.com/pets/choosing-aquarium-equipment5.htm
Supposedly the air in those air bubbles never gets dissolved into the water. Only the breaking of the surface tension due to the bubbles adds O2.
Anyone has anything that says...
So I've heard that breaking the surface tension of water (like with an underwater pump pointed upwards toward the surface) is just as good if not better than using an airstone for adding O2.
Can anyone verify this?
+rep to you guys if I knew how. If you tell me I will.
I'm just wanted to make sure that it wasn't a deficiency before I throw them into flower. Your'e right about it being ebb and flow though.
Here are some other pics. Serapis, think it could be a calcium nute lock out due to excess of...
go with a third strength then. Also, you should find out if your tap water is alright for what your doing. That might be another source of your nute lock if your tap is crap.
They should be fine in terms of stress. I would try and place those LEDs closer in the mean time. You don't want those seedlings to stretch anymore if you can help it. If you can't, won't be the end of the world.
Not to discourage you but a warning: growing with cfls through flowering can be...
I'm assuming that they are just in rockwool.
In that case, IMO aim for 5.5 - 6.0, closer to 6.0 if you can.
How long has it been since the clones were taken? Usually starting at 1/3 strength is pretty norm if they aren't newly taken clones
