    CO2 method

that's what I figure. and it can't hurt to no harm anyway. Plus it only cost me what? maybe $2.00 in sugar and yeast LOL

    CO2 method

I'm about 5 days into 12/12 lighting for lowering on my first hydro grow. The plants are looking good and i'm hoping to have a decent number of females out of the crop once they start to show sex. Anyway... was reading about adding CO2 to the plants but don't have the budget to go buy a big...

    urgent help please!

not overly hot at all - mid 70's. In fact, it's been cold and damp weather here the last few days so it's actually a few degrees cooler in the grow room than it's been, but nothing drastic, only a few degrees difference

working on my first hydro grow and everything was going great until yesterday. I've had my plants vegging for 4-5 weeks. Two nights ago I switched from 24/0 to 12/12 lighting to put them into flowering. Yesterday I switched the nutrient solution from the FoxFarm Big Grow to the FoxFarm Tiger...

?? on switching nutrients on 12/12

hmmm, now see, that's why I posted the question.... I've read both ways but never seemed to have found a definite answer which is better...... I suppose it's not absolutely critical one way or the other than

?? on switching nutrients on 12/12

I am working on my first hydro grow. Wow, I',m amazed how much better plants grow in hydro compared to soil - much faster and heathier compared to my previous growing "tries" in soil. Any way, they have been vegging for the last 4-5 weeks under a 400w HPS on 24/0 in FoxFarm Big Grow nutrient...

    first hydroponic grow

Update: 10/13/09 I just measured my plants and the smallest one is now 18" and the tallest one is about 26". They are growing faster and faster everyday it seems! I was going to wait until Sunday to switch to 12/12 lighting for flowering but now that the smallest plant reached the 18" mark...

    first hydroponic grow

At the beginning before the roots really developed I made sure the nutrient solution was high enough to get to the net pots to keep the rockwool wet. Once the roots developed and was hanging down into the solution I figured the level was quite as critical as long as the roots were in the...

    first hydroponic grow

yep, the roots are very intermingled, you are right. I figure when cutting the males out I'll have to just cut the roots off close to the baskets and let the remaining roots just stay. As far as watering, I've already had to add approx 7-8 gallons to each tote over the last 3 weeks and i've...

    first hydroponic grow

yeah, I know I'm going to have to pick up a PH meter soon. Again, after sex shows and I cut out the males i'll have more room. i'll know to figure less plants per tote on my next grow in any case - this is definitely a learning experience.

    first hydroponic grow

hi all newbie here, my first posting. i'm not very experienced in growing. I've done 2 small (2-3 plants each) previous grows in soil that turned out "fair" but nothing to brag about to say the least. Wanted to try something different so decided to try hydrophonic growing and without the mess...
