Looks like they are trying to flower to me... Pinch every top and bang them on 24hrs for a few days to a week ... Then keep them on 18/6 . I've had mother's for ages in 7 and 9 ltr pots, as long as you keep them watered you shouldn't get issues , when a pots root bound you will know about it ...
