Experiences with T5 flouro lights durring flowering?

I'm planning on using quite a few Sun Blaze 4ft x 8tube T5 flouros (replacing every 3 hps lights with 4-5 t5s) with warm spectrum tubes (same as I use during veg when I use cool tubes) they are advertised as having a 40,000 lumen output and pulling 432 watts each

Day 51 flowering.....Fan leaves starting to yellow

its completely normal to have yellow leaves when you're almost done, the plants draw the nitrogen out of the leaves. Whatever you do DO NOT add nutrients if you're about to harvest nasty gross tasting crackly smoke.... uck

Help how do i know when to flush and can i snip top buds?

if you have the horizontal space and your main stems are still flexible enough you can try bending the stems that are too tall and holding them down with twisty ties, be careful not to snap them if you feel them start to snap my advice would be to stop although some people insist that even a...

8 weeks into 12/12. when do i cut??

And yeh, if you think you're two weeks out and are planning on flushing with plain water give them two weeks, also if you want the best taste, harvest after a 20-30 hr dark period, it causes the starches in the plant (which make the bud taste and smell funny time to retreat back to the roots)...

8 weeks into 12/12. when do i cut??

The best way to tell if they are ready to go is to examine the trichomes under a decently strong magnifying glass (30 or 40x should do) I generally aim to take my ladies down when ~25% of the trichs have turned an amber color (be sure to look at the tricks on the bud itself not a bigleaf)

    TricHcome Question, Harvesting etc

YES!! if you harvest early you will be sacrificing alot of weight. With a pure sativa I generally opt to wait until the end of the allotted flowering time, as hard as that is, but it really seems to make a difference in the yield.

    Sticky buds that weigh more!

Not much you can do that isnt shady after the growing is done. Next time try sugar boost through bloom cycle with things like Bud Candy or molasses for extra trichome coverage. For volume carb load, I use Liquid Carbo Load (it comes in powder form too) and for density I usually use Gravity...

week 7 how much longer do you think

first I would check how long the strain you are growing is supposed to flower so you have an estimated time of harvest (if its a purple I generally give it the full 10 weeks or you wont see much color even if you have the temp dropped and are using color boosters). As that time approaches...

Experiences with T5 flouro lights durring flowering?

I generally run 1000watt hps lights during the flowering cycle, and generally yield ~1.5lbs per light. I'm considering switching to t5 lights, using the warm bulbs in a 4' * 8 bulb fixture, to save on money on electricity. I'll probably replace each hps light with 2 t5 lights. I'm wondering if...
