    Plastic Box Growing Plans

If you're gonna get another tub to use as the bottom half of your Cab it's fine, but if it's always going to be at the bottom just reverse the polarity. To quote a now annoying carnivore, "Simples". If you don't live in the UK you just do NOT want to know ;0) Just don't cross the streams!!!

How long to go on these autos?

Some autos aren't quite auto... so can take a lot longer. Some of the Nirvana Autos can take 12 weeks or longer for example...

Beneficial Insects - What, How Do You Use Them

You're right... Same as grasshoppers, they go through nymphal instar stages as they grow and shed before finally becoming sexually mature adults. 'Ladybugs' or all beetles in fact, have a mobile and voracious larval stage before they pupate and emerge, metamorphosed, as sexually mature adults...

    Opinions opinions please!

I'd agree with the comments earlier - if you'd drink it then give it to your plants. Other things to consider are primarily to do with rain run-off, regarding the type of farming and use of feeds/fertilisers in the lake/river system. Basic rule for me is if I see any foaming in flowing water...

    T5 bulb suggestion?

From the reading I've done these - http://www.coralculture.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=26&products_id=3141 - are the mutts nuts during veg and flowering, it's the extra bits of the spectrum apparently... I'm looking at using a mixture of these and CFLs to get a focused...

Wtf is wrong with these pepper seeds??

Just a thought... Did you buy the seeds or scape them from peppers you bought for food..? Most of the capsicums/peppers bought from shops have infertile seeds, like bananas, hence growing them is not generally possible. Some of the speciality peppers you might be lucky with, or just stump up...

    Jerry's Winter Organic Garden

Pollen lasts for years... although it does best when kept like beer - cold and clean ;-)

    Thrips

I suspect that the pyrethroids and neem killed the nematodes stone cold dead. Not something that should be used in combination... IF not, did you keep applying the nematodes or was it a single shot..? And have you tried using more than one species at a time..? This SHOULD work as long as you...

    ways to bring humidity down

another cheap alternative is Bicarbonate of soda... and the good thing is that as it gets damp it releases a little CO2. Which is nice. If you're a little plant.

    ways to bring humidity down

Sand - spread an inch or two across the bottom of the growing area, should take about 20 or 30% out f you replace it regularly - the best stuff is playsand for kids, although any kiln dried should do, make sure you replace it every week and watch your temperatures. Another option would be...

    Seeds popped them disappeared!

It's not just the spelling... it's the total absence of punctuation. If he's writing it the way it comes out of his brain I hope he never gets the opportunity to add to the gene pool... No offence meant, just think about it then use babelfish to translate for the rest of us, thank you ;0)

    soil question

Bang on right... It really depends on the quality and suitability of the garden soil. Is there a lot of humus in the soil, is it peaty or mostly clay, has it been well aerated to encourage beneficial micro-organisms..? There's lots of good info on here if you look... good luck on the grow bro ;0)

    Coca Cola Compost Booster!

Other than the huge sucrose content there is one nutrient that may be of benefit - Phosphoric acid. Obviously contains phosphorus and could lower pH in your soil, but no idea on how beneficial it might actually be... I clean engine components with flat coke - hence I wouldn't think it counts...

    Grow Lights - Opinions

Errr... first post here and I hate to disagree, but here's something you might take a look at... http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3931/is_200405/ai_n9446040/ http://www.cazv.cz/2003/PSE3_03/8-zuk.pdf http://www.jstor.org/pss/1942430 From what I can gather, different parts of the UV...
