No, they are not combined. Its basicaly the bulb size plus a little waste. A 1000W SETUP(Ballast/Bulb) pulls 1000W +/-. About 4.5A-ish/220V and 8.5-9.5A/110

How long till you're ready to put the others in flower? Do you have another, even small light that you can rig up in the dark room for the interum. For the first couple weeks of flower, a huge light wouldnt be a "necessity". You could do your preflower for that one under something much smaller.

Is that as much as you can zoom with yours? I'm looking for something with a little more zoom so I can see the individual triches stem and ball nice and clear. I hear allot of talk about a 200x. I'm assuming the one on ebay

I know and check and harvest based on trichs, but I would like a rough estimate going in with new strains. I try to ask whoever I got the clone from, but even then you don't know how they harvest. What do you usually use for your reference? Seed banks sites?

What usb microscope is everyone using for trich viewing/pics? I bought one of the toys r us deals that I heard discussed here. You can get it down enough to see the triches, but its at the max of the magnification and gets really washed out by the light. What USB microscope camera is everyone...

I have 4 G-13 clones ready to harvest in 19 days. I bought them as clones. I dont really care what the genetic story is. Theyre growin great(almost too good, like little 4' tall christmas trees). I agree though, $100 a bean is crazy. Good to be where clones are in abundance..

If you can cool the light, it wont be an issue. The prob is finding a hood and 2 6" elbows that are less than 30" connected. It will be a tight fit, but if you ucan get fans pulling the air out of the light, you'l be good.

Its all about the veg time plus your light choice. No matter how long you veg, not enough light will slow things dramatically.
