Thank you guys for the replies. I have no experience, so I am not sure what is possible. I now know I can't do 1000w. Should save me a couple of buck up front and on electricity at least. I will now be planning on 600w HPS. Now would you consider a cooled hood to be NECESSARY with 600w?
