    Seems to me being in the native soil probably stays pretty wet around the area...I would only be watering plants that size about a gallon of two unless they seemed to be needing it from heat...root rot my friend, they won't intake anything anymore ....best thing is to pull them ASAP and plant...

    Beer - can getting your plants drunk help them grow stronger?
