i heard you can run boiling water,baking, or microwaving the dirt, I'm afraid of killing the good things along with the bad things so i use it unsteralized, so far so good, but i know that it could harm my plants if i get unlucky. good luck!

what i do and it works for me is, i have access to woodlands. there i rake back the leaves then i begin raking the top layer of soil until i get a pile of dirt . i put the dirt in a 5gl bucket or as much as you need sifting it threw fine mesh wire. wow. its full of good stuff and bad. probably...

I had the same thing happen to my plants everything was looking good until they were about 18" tall then they started having the look you described curliing,spots, death. I'm thinking its the MG potting mix i have give this brand several chances same results each time. what else is there out there?
