Been curing for 5 days, stems dont' crack....should I be concerned?

I wasn't too eager- I followed the directions exactly as stated (there is a 60 something page thread on how to do this on grasscity somewhere). It's not 3 days of drying but 7- when they're in the bags they're continuing the drying process. They're not stuck together either, theyre placed in...

Been curing for 5 days, stems dont' crack....should I be concerned?

Hello, I dried according to the guide used by many growers of hanging for 3 days, then bagging with shredded bags for another 4 days. I've been curing for 5 days now, and am noticing that my stems are not cracking but rather bending. Should I be concerned about this? I'm worried they may have...

    Doing no water 72-hr preharvest...in ebb/flow?

I'm planning on doing the 72 hours of dark before harvesting, as well as no food/water. I know this applies to soil grows, but is this okay in a hydro setup, ebb and flow with hydroton? It seems as though the plants would wilt up and die in that amount of time with no water, as that long in...

Deficiency 1 week from harvest...what is this?

I'm sure most of you will know what this is right away, but I can't find what it is. I'm not too worried about it as i'm only a week or so from flushing, but I'd like to get rid of it if possible I'm growing in ebb/flow in hydroton, using lucas formula + floralicious plus at about 1400 ppm...

Lost all 10 of my plants today. One reason why mechanical timers are better!

From my understanding they have backup batteries. I guess my power was out long enough that the batteries did not keep it on.

Lost all 10 of my plants today. One reason why mechanical timers are better!

Well, Came back to my house today to find all 10 of my plants wilted and dying. They were 3 weeks into flower and doing very well. I had left them alone for about 40 hours, which I tend to do very often. I narrowed it down to find out that the power in my room went out for a short time for...

Leaf tips burning. Don't think it's nute burn....help?

Hey guys, Well i'm thinking this problem may go away with time, but last time I thought that I ended up with bad nute burn :p. Do you guys know what's causing this? My plants had bad nute burn last week, so the lower leaves are dying off. However, i'm noticing even the newer leaves are...

Help! Is this light burn or nute burn?? Pics included

Haha thanks guys, that's exactly what I needed to know. For some reason I had thought they could handle 700 ppms. Anyways, is it necessary I flush them at this point or can I just dilute it to around 400 or so ppm? They are still growing, so I was kind of thinking a flush woulnd't be required.

Help! Is this light burn or nute burn?? Pics included

Hey guys, I have a problem with my plants. It has been present since I began, but now it is getting worse. I assumed it was light burn since i'm running these pretty small plants under a 1000 watt mh. However, I noticed it has gotten worse even though I raised the light about a foot higher...

How do you guys keep your 1000w's so cool?

Dont worry guys, im listening :) Ive gotten temps down to around 80* now, in direct light. I increased the area of my intake, raised my light about 6", and added a fan to my window to blow cool air into my room thus keeping ambient temps a little lower. Happy with the temperatures im...

How do you guys keep your 1000w's so cool?

Thanks for the responses. Well, I took a picture but it's not very helpful. One of my fans is actually located underneath my bed- I put it there to keep it quiet. The ducting does have some curves and stuff, but nothing too major. That's why I added the second exhaust fan, which simply vents...

How do you guys keep your 1000w's so cool?

Well I recently completed my grow room, and i cant keep my temperatures low enough. I was shooting for around 78* at canopy level, but im sitting around 90* with lights o. I have a 1000 watt hps in an air cooled hood, hooked up to a 435cfm fan blowing out a window. Also have a second 150cfm...

Rockwool cubes in hydroton...should they be wet?

Hey guys, Quick question. I just recently moved my rooted clones in rockwool cubes to my ebb and flow trays which are filled with hydroton. The roots are coming out the bottom of the rockwool cubes, but only a small amount. I have two options- I can 1.) set the rockwool cubes on top of...

    Multiple strains from same reservoir

Hmm, lots of decisions to make. I'm leaning towards just adding in a second res. If I do this, I want to do it right and I wont' want to have plants that are not having their potential maximized. Either that or just stick with the 1 strain. I'm worried about doing that though cause I dont'...

    Multiple strains from same reservoir

Hey guys, Looked around, but couldn't find too much information on this. What i'm planning on doing is having two ebb and flow tables, but fed from the same reservoir. Each will have a different strain. I'll be using the Lucas Formula add back method for nutrients. I'm aware that...

    Rectangular closet (2.5'x9') light distribution

You know what, I think I'm just going to make myself a 4x5 grow tent. Funny, this is my first grow and I started by purchasing a 250 watt hps and computer fan for ventilation....but the continual reading on these boards has caused me to keep upgrading before even starting my grow. Now i'm up...

    Rectangular closet (2.5'x9') light distribution

Hey guys, I'm sure similar stuff to this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything...hard to find the correct search terms for a topic like this. Anyways, my closet is very rectangular- 2.5' x 9' and 6' tall. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get more even lighting, or if the...

Regular circular fan + duct for exhaust?

Thanks, that's the kind of answer I was looking for.

Regular circular fan + duct for exhaust?

Really? All I can find near that price range are booster fans, which i've heard are no good alone, only for their intended "booster" effect. All the actual exhaust inline's are $90+ Don't want to be a cheapass, but honestly I have a hard time dropping $70 more on something that will have a...
