I use MG and most of the N seems to be used up quickly. I just transplanted and I have a few yellowing leaves on the bottom. I would just cut back on the N ferts in the beginning.

Buy some reflective material for your grow room. Very low cost and very helpful.

Mine did the same thing, no worries. Roots didn't come out of the bottom but several "spikes" showed up around day 10. I planted them and they are doing great.
