What's your intake and exhaust sytem for ventilation? I mean what size extraction/exhaust fan are you using, not the make or model#, but the diameter of the fan, as well as the cfm/h?

You should be using a 250 watt HPS for a closet that size(3x2). I alway's prefer HPS over MH. The HPS bulbs provide more lumens/watt than a MH bulb. Ed Rosenthal recommends just using the HPS throughout the entire grow cycle.

What kind of lighting are you using (HID,CFL,LED) and what wattage bulb? Just curious? You don't want to overheat the plants and I hope you have ventilation in the closet, or CO2 supplementation if no ventilation.

I agree with you completely!! Horizontal reflectors distribute the most light. I like Hydrofarm horizontal reflectors personally.

Galaxy is an excellent ballast, however, my choice would be to go with the new "Nanolux" Digital Ballast. Google it for more info. It's the best ballast on the market today in my opinion.

I thought the average BTU recommendations are 4000-4500 BTU's per 1000 watts of light. Therefore, if I were using 4-600 watts of HPS, that's 2400 watt's total. So, if you do the math, 12000 BTUS of a mini split A/C would do the trick, right? 22,000 BTU's sounds crazy. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

How big are your plants? You should be able to fit 8-16 plants under a single 1000 watt bulb. just curious?

The ideal reccomendation is 40 watts/sq.ft. of space. So, say you have an 8'x8' room for example, you multiply 8'x8'= 64sq.ft. That means you would need 64sq.ft. x 40 watts/sq.ft.=2,560 watts.
