Your local hardware store will be more than willing to cut the lumber to your specifications my friend. Does'nt have to be ply-wood, something thinner would do nicely I think. Just look around, and pick something sturdy and tight. Good luck.

This man speaks the truth! ANY kind of wood for that matter, just some float board used for flooring(verry cheap and pretty sturdy) would be %100 safer than cardboard. Build one using a board, a saw, some screws, and some 90degree joint plates. Good luck! Get the treated plywood if you can...
