Not sure if the PH level will give you a better chance of FEMS or not, but I keep an eye on it just for good order. I try to keep it between 5.5 and 6.0. So far so good!

man nasd90, I spilled some of that thrive alive on the floor and it turned the cement the same color as that stuff. It has gotta be the issue with the weird colored roots. I am gonna stay away from the h202 unless I know for sure that I have a rr issue.

That is a pretty sweet set up you got on the airstones. As for the air pumps you are supposed to run them 24/7. Good luck on ur DWC:eyesmoke:

Not to sure about the output on my air pumps. But I got them from the pet store, they are for a 30 gal tank. I have one 30 gal pump per 5 inch airstone. I tried to hook both stones up to one pump and it did not pump out that many bubbles.

I am no expert by far, but I would say at least two more to keep the plants oxygenated. just my .02, may not be worth a $hit. :bigjoint:
