In a 4x4 it will be overkill, i have 16 @1400ma and its probably still overkill, i run mine on 4 drivers so i can turn off a few in veg or also dim, i havent had a harvest yet im about to flip shortly so ill see how it goes.

Thanks for all the replies and all the info, i think ill run my 16 cobs at 600w and go from there and the next run i might go lower or higher and just work it out with the strain i have :)

Ok sweet thanks for that so 2 400w gardens will out perform an 800w garden thanks for the info @CobKits and @Airwalker16, i have 16 3590 in a 4x4 at 1400ma, so if i wanted big gpw around 400w would be best

Sorry i know there is many factors, but lets say exact same conditions same strain same everything, which will benefit more

Yeah i have cobs alread man ive seen the light haha, lets say 4x4 800w cob and a 400w cob grown exactly the same will they yeild same gpw? Or will lower or higher watts give better gpw? Same strain same everything?

Weird post but just wondering on people experience on the best gpw, eg what would yeild the best gpw among these circumstances 1plant 1000w,600w,400w,200w,100w, Obviously there is limit to where light intensity comes into it, is it better to do 2 200w setups or 1 400w setup, cobs have efficiency...

Yeah i got an oscillating fan above them but if i turn that on my tent temp goes down quite alot, do yoy think is should have it on?

What is the ideal temperature of heatsinks? Cxb3590 3500k cd 1400ma Tent is at 77f Heatsinks are around 130f

mars lights are on the warmer side of leds, but still not as hot as a hps, also a mars400 isnt really really bright at all, better off with a couple of cobs as they are much brighter than mars and they dont burn out like mars diodes do

Looking great, i personally would veg them a little bit more, you will stuggle to get 2oz's out of plants that small, other than that they look great

At a guess maybe too much nitrogen as the leaves are quite dark in flowering, other people on here have better knowledge though

That is a cutter heatsink by the way not sure of the dimensions of any other heat sinks

Mine is 1m x 1m and will be running 16 3590s which will be for a 4x4 tent, it will have 4 drivers so i will wire up the 4 center cobs to 1 driver so i can dim if it gets too hot in the middle, hopefully

with a 4x4 tent would it be worth running 16 cobs or would 12 be best?, would the extra 4 be worth it price wise and the extra watts or would it not really be as efficient for yields? i know more cobs i can dim but if they were all at full power would the be much of a difference?
