The pot your using is not too big it will do just fine if you flush it. However those little balls you see are most likely slow release fertilizer, which means once the balls decompose they release more nutes into your soil. No flushing them will not get these out however it shouldn't matter...

If you are growing outside its a whole different ballgame with pests. I would suggest now to continue to spray it every 7 days instead of 2 weeks. It will get trickier once you start to flower because you want to make sure to spray around the buds and just get leafs coated.
