I was wonndering, does the time to harvest i.e. 8-12 weeks start from when the 12/12 light cycle is introduced, or from when the first signs of flowes appear?

How long before someone should give up on planted seeds that have not sprouted? The seeds were germinated ahead of time and plant about .5" deep in soil with the taproot facing down. Anything one can do to check what's wrong or try to fix it?

I've read that clones are used for SCROG. Is that true? If so, why? Also, can I do a SCROG from seed. What would be the difference?

I've got a 4x4 grow area and am planning to make a 3x3 scrog. Lighting is 1 600 watt HID. What is a good strain for a scrog this size? Also, anyone have plans for making a 3x3 SCROG or can point me in the direction of a good link with pictures?

I'm trying to find a decent one. Some are really cheap, like the rapidtest, but I don't think they work. I'm looking for one that works in soil. I'm more concerned about PH than moisture so any advice would be helpful. Also do I need a separate ph meter for soil and one for water?

Well once these were re-potted they did fine. When taking them out of the cups, the soil was very wet, and the roots were all matted along the sides. They were repotted and not watered for a few days. They perked right up and seem to be doing fine now. A couple sets of leaves were lost but new...

They usually have a heater on at night, but a couple nights the heater was being used elsewhere so they got down to around 50F. Another heater will be added soon. Humidity is normal 30-40%.

yes they may be different strains as these are all bag seeds. I do wait for the top and first inch of soil is bone dry before I water, but perhaps they are being over-watered. New growth looks good on these, do you think they will still be viable over the long term? They will be repotted...

Yes these are some of the issues that came to mind with staking...i.e. severing roots, cutting into the stem with the thread, etc.

If 3-4" seedlings are tipping over a bit, say 25 degrees or so, should they be staked, or will they straighten up as they grow on their own? If they need to be staked, would plastic drinking straws and thread work well?

I'd say two, maybe even three more weeks. How long have they been in flower now? Indicas are usually about 9 weeks and sativas range from 9-12 weeks.

Looking good. That is quite a crop you have going there. I'll be interested in seeing how much the seedlings catch up to the others before you flower...I'm wondering how you're gonna work that all out....

Not necessary...unless you need to circulate the air to keep it cool at night.

do you have any brothers or sisters that might be willing to give you a clean sample. If you can get a clean sample good. Or, you can put something in your sample. You could put some bleach in it, I think that might screw up the test. Good luck and let us know how it turns out!
