    Inrush Current

To clarify; I'm in the U.S. using 120v AC on either 15 or 20 amp breaker (can't remember, I'll have to check when I get home).

    Inrush Current

Can anyone explain this to me? For my build I went with 6x Meanwell APC-35-1050 rather than going with a smaller amount of bigger drivers for my 6x vero 18s. I didn't realize Inrush Current was a thing and I'm seeing on the PDF for the apc-35-1050 that it has "COLD START 45A(twidth=490 s...

IF you are new to LED and want help choosing what to buy, POST HERE!

All I see is red, white, n blue sexiness... How does the 4.85" heatsink hold up? It was very tempting to me due to price but I have heard supra and others mention the base plate is too thin to run more than some veg lights.. Though I dont k ow if that is a theoretical situation or from...

Lower current means more cob and drivers and heatsink to buy and I'm on a limited budget. Also, regarding the driver, I like it but the single point of failure and running that many volts on a string of LEDs scares me somewhat? Not sure if it is rational fear or paranoia though.

That's a great idea, however I have a confession, I had a few drinks, felt Impulsive and made my order already. I was afraid of 1 big driver in case the driver fails and also the high voltage associated with it so I ordered the mean well APC I linked above. I already have the 150 watt Hps, so...

Would like some thoughts on a build EDIT: went with 6x vero 18s @1050ma at 4000k on mean well driver below on 2x 22 inches of 5.886 hsusa heatsink. Wish me luck boys. 1. Which would be best? 6x vero 18 @ 1050ma 31 watts). Vs 4x vero 29 @ 1400ma (50ish watts) The vero 18s would be a bit...

IF you are new to LED and want help choosing what to buy, POST HERE!

Have a few questions and was hoping you all could help me. I'm wanting to build some cobs for a flowering room. I would likely start with a pair Vero 18s @1.4-1.5 amps (about ~44 watts a peice @ 125 lumens/watt. If I like how they act, I would likely look in to running Vero 29s at the same...

    Pico ezmate with crimp connectors

Wow. I feel dumb. Didnt realize that option was available. just confirmed on digikey. Thanks! Also, The more I think about it, the more I think a Wire terminal strip might be neater than quick disconnecs.

    Pico ezmate with crimp connectors

I would love to combine pico ezmate connectors with some quick slide or bullet crimp disconnects to make swapping out drivers relatively easy. The quick solide or bullets come in 18-22 gauge or 14-16 guage. The pico appears to be 28, and not sure about the wires on the led driver or power...
