Yea you can run can 8 CXB3590 36v on a HLG-185H-C700B, also the C700B has a external control that you attach a 100k potentiometer to so you can dimm the light. Check out this and this thread https://www.rollitup.org/t/matching-drivers-and-cobs.883866/

    Heatsinks for DIY LED lamps

    Yea cheers bro, I just seen that. Its telling me 21 heat watts for a single CXB3590CD 72V @ 50W but I'm getting 28 Watts 50W x 0.56(efficiency) =28??? So if I'm correct the MF25 should run a that COB passive MF20 - (250 x 2) + (40 x 2 x 25) + (8 x 2) = 2516mm 251.6cm x 15.15cm = 3811.74cm...

So are you saying we only need the correct amount of surface area in the heatsink to remove what the cob is producing in actual "heat watts" not what it producers in "light watts" ?

I'm getting 37.7 W passive for the MF30 and 43.95W passive for the MF35, still a bit short for my liking. I'm going to stick with putting some fans on the MF18.151. If they made them a bit longer I'd say we'd be in business

    Running CXB3590 72v @ 1.05A

I'm building a 6 CXB3590 72v COB modular actively cooled light with 2 HLG-185H-C700B ,So I like the idea of running COB's a little harder if i wish so am I right in thinking one HLG-185H-C700B could run 3 COB's at 1.05A? Each COB at 1.05A is pulling 71.94Vf x 3 =215.82Vf The C700B has max...

Yea I'm just going for 6 COB at moment, Ullrich in NZ has nothing in stock that will passively cool and you need to buy 250kg worth for them to make any of the out of stock profiles. I was wanting to do a passive cooled system as well but as I can't get anything at a cost effective price...
