So the white fuzzy bits next to dirt on the start of the root isnt mold? My bad if it wasnt just looked like what grew on a cpl of my stems that had air bubbles and didn't take.

Yes it can kill your plants as it stops the root growth and kill your plant. I'm not sure how you get rid of it or what the cause is or even if you can sorry that's beyond me. This is my first time trying to take clones myself.
