    Ground up bud

If it’s dry an powdery when you grind it up it’s dry. I’d think the hydrometers you’re using to monitor RH are probably inaccurate.

    Ground up bud

I try to stretch the dry out before I jar my bud to at least 7 days from harvest. That’s not to say I let it hang for 7 days then jar, but rather I don’t jar the bud till it’s just dry enough to smoke. That’s what I want to take 7 days. If it drys too fast an it’s dry enough to smoke after 3...

Help! Caterpillars make a grown man cry!

Outdoors every year is different. What works one grow may not be as effective another.

Branches wilting with rot on the stem.

I’ve seen rot like that begin down on the stem near the main stalk before. It’ll be grayish brown on the stem itself a then the next step is the entire branch will wilt an die. This will tend to spread so I’ll continue to watch the plant close for any more signs of stem rot.

    Can I harvest early

I’d keep them going. Once it gets too cold you can harvest and you will have more of something then than you do now.

Doublejj, if I may be so bold, what size fabric pots are you using in greenhouse #2?

    Cold temperatures experiment

Pot plants won’t do any real growing until the soil warms up into the 70’s. They can survive cold temps but the plant won’t grow until it’s roots get warm enough. I live near 33 degrees north and I don’t bother anymore putting plants outside until May first. Lately my outdoor routine is to...

Do cannabis plants grow quicker than most fruits and vegetables

The he worst thing about growing cannabis is how long it takes. There has to be other vegetables that that as long but most will start producing in well under a 100 days.

How long do you guys usually wait for harvest?

When growing photo period plants outdoors I can get by with 10 weeks in veg an then 10 weeks in flower. For me to do this where I live has me starting seeds in May. You can get longer veg time outdoors but if you start your seeds earlier than mid April your plants might flower first an then...

If I could buy $40 zips I’d never grow again. Maybe one day it’ll happen?

    Transitioning from indoor to outdoor

If the plants are mature (not seedlings) then I’d definitely wait till mid May to put them out. You could also use supplemental lighting for an hour or so at sunset until the end of May just to be on the safe side since it sounds like your plants are pretty far along.

Election deniers, how do you feel about recent Fox testimony?

So sometime in the mid eighty’s the US election system went to shit? That was back when we were still using punch cards.

Method or trick for maximum taste?

The real trick to the dry/cure is to stretch out the dry for a minimum of 7 days. If you can make it take longer than that it’s even better. Mind you I’m not saying leave you pot out to dry for a week or two no matter what. Once it’s dry enough to burn it’s dry enough to seal up for the cure...

Outdoor grow need tips(grow space is surrounded by bushes )

Netting would definitely help to keep pests off your plants, but if you are trying to be stealthy then that might actually make your grow stand out? If you are comfortable with building a frame for netting and that not drawing attention then why not put together some type of greenhouse? Use a...

Outdoor grow need tips(grow space is surrounded by bushes )

I’m an outdoor grower and like the OP I also use other plants growing around my spot to help conceal that I’m growing cannabis. Let me start by saying that sharing your grow spot with other plants is detrimental to your cannabis plants. Crowding with other plants creates air flow problems, but...

Storing cannabis in plastic vs glass

Where using glass canning jars makes sense is for long term storage (a year or more). Plastic containers and even zip lock bags work just fine for storage and transport but as the months go by unless the container has been sealed in some way (vacuum pack etc) the cannabis inside will dry out...
