The hlg185-1050 is perfect for 5 x 3590 COBs. Cause they pull less than 36V @ 1050mA.

If you run them dimmed at 700mA you get 64% efficiency and during flowering you can raise to 1050. But yeah 4 cree's will also handle it.

Evil-Mobo if he only would run two COBs, he should go with Vero's, they are more efficient at higher wattage. The spread wouldn't be that perfect. HandyGringo 5 x cxb3590 fits perfectly to the hlg185.

Yeah just fictitious, but I think you get the idea. 61,2% efficiency at full throttle and you still could dimm them...

Hey two quick and ugly paint drawings, one with 4 COBs and one with 5 COBS. I also think, that a good pentagon frame, distributes the light more effectively. Just my two cents. Regards

The german seller has only 2700k and 5000k. At what current do you drive the COBs?

The Nichia-130 2700K looks pretty white to me. I think 2700K isn´t correct. If I go with the Nichias should I mix 2700K and 5000K or only 2700K? Some costs in the attachment, what do you guys say?

Nice. Which Driver do you use? Yeah same to me, shipping is only 5 bucks. If you buy 10 or more COBs 15€/COB. That sounds fair. The costs for shipping plus taxes (cxb3590) are crazy.
