Have you tried going to a Farming/Animal store? Ask for greenhouse substrates... i also live remotely, but i've used FF so i know what it is. So while looking for an alternative, i found an european substrate that's very similar to the whole foxfarm mixture. It worked like magic. And cost me...

Look at the label. Tribus only has about 4-5 Strains but has billions of cultures, recharge is a whole mix of over 10 strains including fulvic and molasses etc... If you're doing hydro then Tribus is the way to go. I'd use Recharge on soil because of the more "organic" make up. Not related...

I use a different brand substrate (FF not available here) and it usually carries itself until about week 3-4 depending on strain, but never beyond week 4. At week 5 i usually have to give them FULL STRENGHT nutes or i'll be dealing with horrible deficiencies.
