Raising the bed closer to the light increased growth nearly overnight. The increased light and heat from the lamp made a huge difference. I also began hanging wet towels in the tent to increase humidity. This only raised humidity slightly. Next time I will use a clear plastic dome of sorts to...
I now believe that the cause may have been low air temps (avg temp 66 [19C]) and soil temps (<66) during their first 2 weeks of vegging which may have prevented their ability to absorb essential nutrients ( magnesium?). I have raised the plants closed to the light and thus increase air/soil...
This is my first grow. I am wondering if I am seeing the after effects of over watering or if this is light burn.
Soil - FFOF w/Perlite (80/20 mix)
Nutrients - None
Pots - 3 Gallon, fabric
Light - 300w LED (prob not really 300w but appropriate for my 2'x2'x3')
Temps - 68/72, humidity 38-42%...
Just to be clear here with my intentions; My goal from the beginning was to see if I could create a truly viable micro grow that yielded an amount adequate to my personal needs, nothing more. I'm starting as small as I think would be possible for my needs. If 2x2x3 works, great; if not, I'll...
That's what I was figuring. If I can get it from seed to flowering any amount I will consider this first run a success. From there I'll hope to have a plan to have a better informed plan of light and heat. Thanks.
Anytime I start something I always try to remember, "Learn like you are going to...
I am trying to learn while doing it in the confines of what I have and can do. My hope was that the LED (124+/-w ) would provide enough heat for the 2x2x3 tent. Since it will be auto flower seeds I can adjust light cycles to coincide with H/L temp cycles conversley.
It is 124w as stated on the box. I was under the assumption that LED is commonly labeled differently than actual power. I will state it correctly next time.
I will be growing autos in soil from seed to bloom in a 2'x2'x3' tent using a 300w full spectrum LED in my conditioned attic, meaning its inside the house's thermal envelope. Assume the tent has all the bells and whistles (exhaust fan, filter, etc...). Currently its winter and the attic space...
Is it safe to assume that the smaller the amount of water (ex 5gal) the more frequent you need to change reservoir water than for a larger size (ex 15 gal?) Or are other factors more important to determine when to change out the water?
Just starting and need to keep it within a 2'x2'x3' tent. This is with hopes of 2-4 oz per grow cycle. Could I achieve this within this space if I only used a shallow (9" tall) 10gal tote with either one or two plants with the intention of doing a single scrog? In beginning I'd start small and...
