Ok. My problem is a little different. I've got a stand alone res in my soilless setup. I've cleaned the res twice. But still Everytime I change it out, foamy bubbles start up. My pH shoots up but my PPMs stay the same. What's the deal?

I have used them for my Hydroponics setup to increase humidity until the plants get to big to fit. Then I just run a humdifier. Only downside is yhat they don't fit over the bucket if you have a net pots with a wide rim. I have to tape them down or the pressure gradient knocks them off. See photo
