$1,300 on a LED light? HYDROGROW LED'S

Hi ibob, don't have any experience with this particular light, but have not heard or seen it and I spend a lot of time in the LED forums. For that price you can get 2 proven Area 51 LED lights (twice the power and very likely much better quality and support) that are being used by the top LED growers right here on RIU.

I'd suggest spending some time in the LED Forum, where there are many experienced MJ LED growers with a ton of useful and money saving information...

Hey creeper, which one are you running? Always interested in any folks have had success with.

While there are some great deals on e-bay, I wouldn't suggest anyone go straight to e-Bay and start buying LED lights without spending some time researching and trolling through the LED forums unless you have money to burn or you're willing to take a huge risk.

There are simply too many brands, questionable vendors, and questionable quality chinese LED lights to hit the Buy button without some research. They're all willing to take your money, but as I've seen here, many LED growers end up disappointed by these cheap lights.

That said, I've been testing a few with no pressure to produce other than persona,l and the one I'm currently running my signature thread is not a bad light if you want to go that way. Even then, I'm convinced it's a great light for vegging, but the reason I'm running this thread is to show what it can (or can't) produce in flowering. I have a very controlled and detailed/logged environment and using nothing but this light (no side lighting/enhancements) through this grow. it will put to rest whether I continue with these lights for both vegging and flowering, or use them for vegging (which they do a great job of) and move up to something better for flowering.

Buyer beware for LED's on e-bay is probably the understatement of the year...

Not a big fan of LEDs but if heat is a big issue for you, they could safe you a bit of a hassle. I just dont think I could justify spending $1300 because of a heat issue personally, there are much cheaper ways to deal with it.

like the rest I could find better options for your money

like 6 Hans Panels on 80W each

http://www.bonsaihero.com/ledgrow-led-panel-80-watt.html

or two Area-51 lights on 195W each

http://a51led.com/store/

both will cover your space and more, and much more then the light you posted, and IMO multiply smaller panels are better then one large one, both when it come to coverage of the light, and if you need to use the warranty

and one thing I did notice is that the Panel you posted a link to don't have any White LEDs in em tho I like that you can push/run em at different watt

if it was me for a 4x4 space I would either get 4 hans panels on 80W or a Area-51 light and maybe add a few 23W 2700K CFLs at the corners in flowering

and the heat factor compared to HIDs is awesome, my LEDs make next to no heat, if my old 600W HPS made my temp go up by +10F the LEDs maybe get it up by 1-2F

"the 189x-pro led grow light is the most powerful grow light in the world for a 3' x 3' area, with tested par output matching that of a 750w hps!" the sales talk gets more and more fantsatic each new light model being sold
.............or you can by 10 of these digital 400w hps lights for that ... http://www.amazon.com/apollo-horticulture-glk400gw19-digital-dimmable/dp/b004yxdhx6/ref=pd_sbs_lg_1/184-6239264-5135065?ie=utf8&refrid=0qb4mx1mac3wd23c8gjb
so its worth the money?

As you can see at the top of the pic, 2 300watt LED. I do supplement underneath with household CFLs.
I got 5oz dry of this Pineapple Kush and I just finished 2 Clones off her. Still not fully cured, so I can't give a dry weight yet.
This is the actual seller I purchased these lights from.
