1 day old sprout first set of true leaves are pale white

1 day old sprout just opened up and the cotyledons are green but the very first set of leaves are a pale white color. Is this a normal occurrence? Usually once the cotys open up, the first leaves are already green. Would the seedling survive if this first set of leaves were to die off? Like I mentioned, the cotyledons are are nice and green and the stem seems normal. Am I wasting my time with this sprout?

I'm growing in nectar for the gods soil blend #4, it is a Dutch Passion Strawberry Cough fem. I also forgot to mention that I had to remove the seed shell from the spout by hand, it was stuck on there really good. Could it be that the leaves are just not developed enough yet?

That's likely it. In a well amended soil, as long as you dont drown the plant, and your water is halfway decent quality, theres almost no reason you'd be seeing lack of color all together, outside of that the leaves are underdeveloped.

Give it some time... "watched pot never boils" is very applicable to growing. If you follow the basics, then give her time to do her thing, you'll be fine

It has been approx 6 hours and the leaves have already begun to grow and turn green. It was too soon to even start worrying. The 2 first true leaves were tiny, pale/translucent because they coty's had not even had a chance to start the process of photosynthesis yet. Thank you for replying, all this worry over nothing. Lesson learned, thanks again
