1 plant is good the other not so much

Good morning everyone, I’m truly honored to be part of this community, especially all the great feedback and insight from my fellow growing community. So here it goes…. I germinated two ILGM Sweet tooth auto flower seeds in water. All went well, then did paper towel, after 2 days 1 tap root clearly larger than the other. I still planted them both. By the next day of planting germinated seed, plant #1 came trough the soil. See attached picture. Now plant #2 nothing, it’s been day 3 of seedling stage for plant #1. My gut said check plant #2 and when I pulled seed out it was dead, looked bad. My gut was right. What I can’t explain is why? I did everything exactly the same for both. Any thoughts? Thank you so much. My first time. Auto flower in mixasoil super soil 1/3 and coco loco remaining 2/3. 5 gallon fabric pots by the way. Thank you so much everyone. Happy growing. How does my healthy seedling look for day 3?

Thank you Nope_49595933949. I initially thought of the root riot method, but being new just went with what I saw blasted over so many YouTube videos I watched. Appreciate the feedback. Happy growing.
The way I do it is this:
Soak the root riot cube in water, wettable myco, and mosquito bits for 30-60 minutes.
Squeeze the root riot cube so that it is moist but not soaked/dripping.
Put seed in root riot cube
Put root riot cube in 6 pack on heat mat.
Use a spray bottle to water daily.

Cup half to 2/3 full of coco (clear cup inside opaque cup if you want to watch the roots progress) baggie dome misted with distilled water, put somewhere warm with or without light. 3 days, boom, like clockwork:

Comes up with the helmet on, almost always sheds the helmet within a day or two. DON'T pluck the helmet off, let the plant do it.

i always pop the top if it's still on after a day. i have a soft touch. once, one of the first leaf type things tore off (brainfart). a few days later, it had grown back and proved to me once again, it's a weed and it's hard to stop it growing. i keep it simple.

I only help it if the cotyledons are "trapped" under the membrane after a couple days

It's ok man I'm like the fucking Ted Bundy of plants  lol! I've killed off a bunch of seeds/seedlings and clones/cuttings just to find my rhythm & what works for me. They're just plants though so have fun with it!

Great point and even better explanation . I’ll run with that and definitely not worry about the mistakes and focus more on what does work.
