1 plant per sq ft or 4 per sq ft

I have a 4'x4' dwc

I read some where for SOG, I should do 4 plants per sq ft. So, I setup my DWC system for 4 per sq ft



Now I read in the FAQ thats it 1 plant per sq ft. It goes on to say: anymore then 1 plant per sq ft will result in stemy buds. But what about the yeild? would it be a bigger yeild do 4 sq ft?

Using 400w HPS for Flowering MH veg

the 1 sq ft would be easy, less clones I need.

Whats your thoughts?

If you're going to go ahead with that setup (4 plants per sq. ft.), you'll need to "lollipop" your plants as they grow. You can search the forum for an explaination of that technique if you don't already know about it, but basically it's just the process of cutting off all the side shoots so that the plant flowers with only one main bud. If you want to be able to grow plants normally without lollipoping them, you'll need 1 sq. ft. per plant as you'll get too much crowding if you don't have at least this much space.

i think 1 plant per sqft will be alot better imo!!!
