ok big question. I have two lihts on two timers as too not ovr load the timer and short it out.
SO this is what happened...

My 600 on a 12-12 was fine, but my 12-12 cfl (side lighting) timer took a dump and the light was left on an additional 10 hours. so it was on a 22-2.
Am I making sense?
I immediately switched it off but should I keep it in darkness now for 12 and restart then the 12-12 timing?

How do I proceed? :?::?::?::?:
Act as nothing happened?
Keep it in extra darkness for a 24 hour cycle,
or extend the sleep of cycle which at tis minute will be 2 hours. I have 2 hours until the 60 turns on and I am not sure if I should let it go or extend the dark session.

Please try and understand what happened and what I should do to proceed.
Thanks bro's and sis's

There are a couple of things that you could do you can either put the plants in total darkness for the time that the timer let you down and then carry on has normal the following day.Or because this has only happened once it should not cause any problems has long has it don't happen again.

Yea leave it on the same light cycle, changing the light dark period completely will probably do more damage than the light being left on. ive left mine on 24hr with no problems before.

Uh Yeah you should try changing out that timer for a little more expensive, trustworthy one. :wall: Cheap equipment will get you cheap results :leaf:
A lot of timers tend to "pop" with the current a hid draws, getting a contactor relay will end all of that forever.

hey speedyseedz, where did you get that timer in the pic? I saw one at a home depot that has 8 outlets al on a heavy duty programable timer on it. I didn't get it because of the many functions and different times needed.

And I madly appreciate your help bro's/sis's out there. I just turned off the cfl bank and let the 12-12 kick on like normal. Part of the problem was this was one of the first few times I ever did an indoor grow. and I let them get a bit too big for the room alloted so some serious trimming and bending and manipulating the babies to fit in all the while keeping room to bring in my new babies to have a perpetual harvest.

With the bending and shaping of the overgrown tree's I have had to become extremely resourceful-much more than Macgyver any day. I now have to run to home depot or locals first to see if they have a weather stripping. I am loosing lots of nute/water mix because of dripping on the sides. I followed the directions to a huge fucking "T" and still it drips like Noah's flood in my text. Thank god for the waterproof bottom. OH shit, I hope it is really water proof.

Anyhow. if you, anyone out there can steer me to where I can get some plans for a cloner, veg unit and flower unit that doesn't leak from the top lip, that would be appreciated. I followed the HT plans in the grow guide specifically and man I am changing a towel just as much as I used to change the soda bottle with yeast and sugar. In the morning and in the evening. And sometimes in between.

Shoot m and plans you might have. Or realy, which containers since I have built all the piping off the pumps and sprayers and what not.

Thanks gang. My Rain Forest puts all the time and energy I have spent, on top of cash to shame. Never a problem with it, except to fast of root growth.

CHeers.

P.S. I didn't do the flower unit in the grow section, I just mad a bigger veg unit without the fence post.

all hydro shops carry them here, you can also get them off ebay, it basically splits the load between two sockets and the timer only runs off one.

I'm in the uk, so where I say to get one from won't do you much good, but thats what you need if you want to stop popping timers.

Look for stinkbuds aero setup, completely leak proof the key is the Roughneck brand totes, they absolutely will not leak from the lip no weather strip needed, um using it myself if you have questions or need help I'll link you too the free blueprints for download.
