1000 watt How many plants?

What is the accurate space for one 1000 watt hid light. I am curious how big of a grow tent I can use for this light and how many plants.

I know some say 4 x 4 and some say 6 x 6 just need some clarification.

im going to say 6x6 as you can fit 14-16 plants under a 1000w

I did 20 plants in 3 gallon planters before under one 1000w and didnt have any problems at all. But I did rotate the plants with every watering.
