So suppose that I have an air cooled 1000 watt hps light system and I tested it out last night and It still dissipated some heat for about six inches away from the light. All in all I was happy with this amazing bulb and how bright it gets, and how I have to wear like sun glasses and a hat just to be around since if you look at it straight it will mess up your retna. But I am about to start my plants into flower but I wasn't sure on how far to keep it away from the plants. Half a foot just to start? My buddy whos doing it with me says we can do it lower for sure but we'll see I guess...
