1000W HPS temp

Is 1000W HPS light much hotter than the 400W HPS. I'm trying to upgrade my system without increasing the temperature in the grow room too much. I have an AC in there that keeps the temp at 78F with 400W HPS system.

i recently went from a 400w in my room to the 1000w. way brighter, but the heat stays in the low 80s in the canopy and mid to low 70s in the reservoirs. i added a window AC to the room as well. that with the house AC and circulation fans seems to keep the temps stable. you just have to work with what ya got

If youve got an A/C in the room, then you shouldnt experience any changes in heat. I say go for it!
