1000W too much for a 4X4X6 tent?

So I was picking up some pots today at my local hydro store and they had a bunch of LED lights and I thought I would ask some quick questions which led to them asking me what I was thinking of and I told them I run 1000s in my tents. Well you would have thought I farted in the place because they were all like that's way over kill. Thats only 62.5 watts per square feet. I've seen people go as high as 100, what do they think people are putting in tents? 250s?

How many watts you'all running per square feet?

I do my breeding and some testing in winter; I run 1600 in my tent. I will say, most folks don't pay much att'n to cooling so that may be what the hydro guys alerted to? Gotta move a lot of air in that tent

Yeah I obviously have plenty of air-flow to deal with the heat and cooled hoods. What was crazy to me were the "suggestions" they were coming up with instead of what I was asking which was about quantum boards vs cobs. My mistake was telling them I wanted to do it because I had two months a year the heat was higher than what I wanted and that I don't actively cool my tents. They suggested Co2 (but I just told you I vent outside) and then adding air-conditioner (but I just told you that I vent outside) and finally dimming my bulb.
I don't get why anybody would cool and inject co2 into air that they are pushing out to be honest. I've never done Co2 but I imagine I would go through a lot to fill up the finished basement where the tents are.
