1040w of LED Action; TGA's Cheesequake, Apothecary's XXX, Kaia Kush

Howdy folks of RIU, wanted to document a grow I'm doing using these new LED's I picked up. Each light draw about 260w or there abouts, its said to replace a 600w HPS. We'll see, hehe, I'm somewhat skeptical after years of seeing a lot of failed LED grows with only a couple of successful ones. I normally run 1kw in this tent with a 600w and a 400w in here, I chose to replace it watt for watt just in case the LED's dont quite live up to their talk. So I've got 4 of these 260w LED units rockin inside this GL120 4'9"x4'9". I must say that with all 4 units on its amazingly bright inside the tent and appears to have a lot better overall light distribution over the 2 hid's I had in there before.

So I have 20 plants transplanted into 3 gal grow bags, and am currently only running 3 of the lights in veg until they get a bigger. 15 of the plants are in FF Happy Frog with about 40% perilite and 60% soil. The other 5 plants are just in straight Roots Organic.
The plants for this run are going to be from TGA's Cheesequake, Apothecary's XXX and Kaia Kush. With a few others mixed in perhaps like Green Cross and UK Cheese. Basically will be takin the best 12 or 16 of the 20 to use in bloom.

Nutrients: General Organics Grow, Bloom, CaMag, BioWeed, BioBud, and BioRoot along with: Hygrozyme, Pro-TeKt, BioAg TM-7 and a bunch of myco products for an array of beneficials for the soil

Tent all cleaned out and ready to rock it. Only using a 4" 170cfm fan to cool the tent

Subscribed. Like to see how this one goes. Excited to see how the LED's work. Good luck. If it works, I want to try this kind of set-up. I'd give you a "like" or rep, but don't see how on my smart phone.

Thanks mate, good to have you on board. I am most excited about this grow as well.

Damn thats alot of LED W, what kind are they?
Very interested in this grow :)
It sure is a lot of LED's, lol, took a chunk outta mi pocket too. But while I was running the 600w and 400w I had to run a portable a/c that was just under 1kw in order to keep the room cool. Now with the LED's up, no a/c and only 5 degrees above ambient temperature outside the tent with only a 170cfm fan exhausting the tent. So that'll save me some scratch for sure each month on electric.

Alright, so caused a bit of a hiccup during transplant and over fertilized them. No signs of burning or what not just got some claw like action goin on with the leaves. Flushed them all today with straight RO water with a wee bit of cal/mag added to it, ph was 6.5. Hopefully I'll see them rebound quickly and kick it into gear.

So a full day after the flush and could start to see the leaves relax a bit and a fresh set of leaves get pushed out that looks significantly better DSC_0737 (Large).jpg

Since I havent been using all of the LED's I took down my 400w hps in my other tent and threw in one of the 168X'-pros in there to see how it'd to. So far I really think its doing well, I have had my uk cheese for just over 3 years and know for sure she hasnt poured out resin like this this early into bloom. This picture was taken yesterday on day 25 of 12/12. I've had the LED over this area for the past 8 days and it's rockin it imo. This is the little runt of the round, but had beautiful structure and so I had to snag a picture of her.

This picture was taken today and you can see the Cheesequakes up front. The UK's are much smaller and further away from the LED, which kinda impresses me ever more since that little runt is about 22" away from the lights and still doin great for only bein 25 days in on the pic above. The picture below as mentioned was taken today on day 26 12/12
