10F - How Do My COBs Look? Should I Space Them Out More? Lower Them?

i have 8 cxb3590s pulling 420 watts over a Goji OG that has been in flower for 10 days. I am on my first grow and not sure how far my light fixture should be from my canopy at this point. I'm also not sure if I should space them out more or just leave them the way they are (they are currently spaced so that the end COBs align with the ends of the canopy). The light fixture is currently about 24" away from the canopy. Is this too far or sound about right since i'm not spaced out as far apart?

:idea:space COBs @1ft between each COB & 2ft above canopy is good:bigjoint:

For a first grow you got it set up. You could've tucked the wires on the hanger better. That would set it off on a quality look.

does it hurt to have it spaced LESS than 1 foot apart? I only have one plant and its canopy is only about 3 to 4 feet wide. since i dont need such a big footprint can i leave them say, 6" apart or am is that too much intensity?

Not at all...you can also use reflectors/dimmers for flexibility if need be....

Personally. ..if I had 8 cobs in that space I would either lower it or use reflectors to maximize light @ canopy.

With all due respect, using reflectors does not maximize light at the canopy. Adding reflectors just means you need to raise your light higher or you'll either torch your plant tops or lose coverage area. If you want to maximize your light at the canopy, take the reflectors off and lower the light. Not only will you get mega light hitting your tops you'll get way better penetration so buds will grow better further down.

Let your plants tell you if theres to much light but spreading the COBs will make a bigger canopy which = a higher yield :weed:

thats exactly what i was wondering the most, regarding spacing. If I space it out more can I expect my plants tops to essentially reach for the light towards the edges more, causing more stretch? because i would certainly love it if it stretched like crazy and filled up the net a whole lot more (i flipped too early as it is my first time and the males looked 75% full didnt know they were male.. long story haha)

Yes that is correct,
Plants should double in size over the nxt 3 weeks & should almost fill ur scrog net in completely.
