10x10 growing area and lighting question

So hello guys, im fairly and have a few questions, i have a 10x10 area for vegging and ive been told i should do 2 1000w halides for vegging as itll veg the plants faster? I was wondering if 2 400s or 2 600s would work the same as i know the vegging stage requires less light.

Also for my flowering area, ive also been told 2 1000s sodiums will flower them quicker and result in bigger buds? Is this true? or would 3 600 watts be best as they control heat better? Also, I am planning to fit about 18-24 plants inside this 10x10 area

for vegging more light means faster growth, but if your not in a hurry then veg speed doesn't matter and using more lights would be a waste.
3x 600 watt lights would give off more heat then 2x1000 watt lights because you would need another ballast which also gets hot. 3x 600 lights would give you more even light coverage though.
