Hey everybody,
I saw this set up about 20 years ago in high times magazine and just found it again on the net. I'm thinking about using this in the flowering stage. I will use larger pots that fit snug at the top and cut the botlles taller and raised the overflow.
The question is, has anyone used this setup and had success?
Like I said, I've been thinking about this for a long time and finally have the space to begin my project. I'm not looking for monster plants and just want to have some fun.
What do you think?
Thanks Mac

I guess a straight up answer is why wouldnt it work, does the water get pumped up from the res or is it drip fed from the top? what are the bowl capacities for holding the nutes?

Thanks for the input.
It’s just a simple ebb & flow system. I just wasn’t sure if there would be enough room for the roots. It recommends that you use large Dixie cups that sit inside the bottles. I’m using pots from some small plants I bought and they fit snuggly at the top of the bottle. I added more holes for drainage and the roots. The roots will be submergerd several times a day.
I’m new to all this and have read a lot of the post and literature but still a little confused. Not sure if this is okay or if the roots need to be a medium like clay pebbles or if they will receive enough oxygen.
Any thoughts?

Thanks everybody!
