I have decided to just grow one plant for now because i still have a bunch of weed left and i wanted to do this experement. So i sprouted two seeds the first one grew faster then the other but it turned out to be male and this one ive kept is female. Its been in 12-12 straight from seed and and its been 2.5 months and its at least two feet tall and healthy. Its hardly showing any pistols but there are leaves now growing just out of where the node meets the stem. is this a good sign? im not sure what to think here cause its been in 12-12 all its life and its still not showing pistols. Can anybody tell me whats the deal?

I've read where some strains take a long time to shift gears, as hormone production varies within the plant during diff stages of it's life. Is your grow sativa dominant? A long flowering sativa can take a bit to show flowering, and that's with a plant that's already been vegging for a while. Did you keep it going, how's it look now?

its not mature yet. most plants take "about" 3 months to mature. you can flower from clone, no problem, because the clone is as old as the original mother from seed. experimenting is a great way to learn, but you've probably only slowed down her growth by only providing her with 12 hours of light a day in which to grow and mature. kinda like only feeding a kid 2/3rds of normal nutrition in hopes of speeding up reaching puberty. it would probably just postpone it. but hey, that's how we learn all this stuff. if you wanna learn to fly, at some time or another you got to try and take off, lol. I would probably switch her to 18/6 until you get preflowers, then throw her back to 12/12, just to get her ready and she can feel the days getting shorter to throw her into full on flower. either way, she'll be fine. just my 2 cents, peace.
