12/12 Purp seed Journal

Its been awhile since I posted...but this will be my first Journal. Last grow round was Raspberry Cough and AK that went horribly south due to uncontrollable spider mite infestation brought in from a gifted clone...more like trojan horse.

Anyways all my grows up until now have been from Clone with at least 2 months veg time. I have had great success that way but I was lucky enough to get some beans from some real frosty, purple unknown strain, 5 to be exact as well as 9 from my last raspberry cough, i honestly have know idea where the seeds came from as I only grow from clone. Maybe Hermie idk?

So new things for this grow are:
1. growing from seed
2. 12/12 from seed
3. Possible uncle bens topping since i will finally have a plant growing with lateral nodes.
4. A combination of FF nutes which i have used with great success and Full line of Advanced Nutes with additives my buddy gave me as a wedding gift Oh and a freebie sample of Great White Shark
5. 150w HPS for entire grow (usually supplement with CFLs side lighting but trying to keep this grow as simple as possible)....may add CFLs later once i see flowering.

So far planted 2 seeds in moist soil (FF Ocean Forest with a ton of perlite) This is reused/ reconditioned soil.
Watered with 1/4 strength FF Big Bloom.

So far 1week today and One seed has sprouted this morning and is now forming its first true set....which already looks purple

I think for the next three seeds I will try paper towel germination i feel it might be faster and less uncertain.

Questions so far:
1. I havent grown from seed so I am worried about humidity for the seedlings. SHould I mist or dome? Or just keep watering like normal.
2. I dont want any stretch I dont need so I have the light a lil more than 6 inches from the top now? It doesnt burn my hand and its not uncomfortable when i hold it under for even 10 sec. Good distance?

Ill post pics when things get a lil more exciting

1. I increase humidity from the time that germinated seeds are planted into soil. Once they sprout up from the soil and over the next few days, I will slowly increase air flow by removing the dome or saran wrap...........whichever I am using at the time(clones vs. seeds). I am not sure if seedlings really need the humidity like clones do and I mainly increase humidity to help seeds sprout out of soil.
2. Seedlings are way more sensitive, so 6in. right now may be a little much, dependent upon your ambient air temps and circulation, etc. I was able to keep my 400W HPS light 10-12 in. above mature plants, but a/c vent was ducted into tent and air flow was like a wind tunnel, but it can be done.

Thanks for the help Rex So far I have two large sets of leaves and everythings looking really healthy but each set only has one main leaf, there arent any points to them. Im wondering if this is because the light is too close.

These are pics from day 10 after sprouting. Looking healthy so far hoping shes a female. I also popped a new seed last night because the other I tried never sprouted. Still have a bunch of seeds. I Started off watering with only FF Big Bloom and Phd water. The last two waterings have been with FF Big Bloom, FF Grow Big (still not full strength), Great White Mycos (trichoderma, and beneficials), AN B52, Voodoo Juice, and Sensi CalMg. Seems to be loving it so far. I have not raised the light yet but I probably will within the next day or so. The nodes are stacked on top of eachother which I like. Im hoping now that it has some more mass it will start to take off over the next few days.
