after setting to 12/12 lets say 8pm to8am is there any way i can switch the lights to turn off at 8am until 8pm or will mess my plants up?

you use a cheap TIMER, about $9, at Lowes ro Home Depot. You have to keep the 12 hours constant.

i know but i work during the day and when i get home at night i want to tend to them is there anyway i can trick them and switch the light to come on all night and i have the timer set to come on all day and its a hassel to wake up early when i can try to switch the light

just do it.
keep the lights on constanly untill you want your dark period to start.
its really that simple.
i did the same thing to suit me.

Buy a timer, they are cheap and effective. Make sure your room is completely dark when you start your flowering period.

Ludacris is right on... just flip to where they make sense for your schedule. Also running at night can help keep the temps lower, especially if your using ambient air to cool the space.
