Hi,
ive been growing a plant for the past month or so now its about 6 inches tall healthy looking and all
just wondering if i should put it on 12/12 now?

Depends on how much space you have, and also the strain. Most wait until it's about 1ft before flowering so they can expect a 3ft plant in the end.

depends on the light your using/space and how much total yeild your after, but 6" is a sog plant witch your looking at around 1oz dry would only recommend doing this if you have low space

yea it sounds like you have a weak light if you are only 6" after 30 days. What are you using for your lighting?
I would let it get taller.
can you post any pics?

yeh 30 sday veg it should be fucking huge,normally its a 2 week veg then flower i take it ur using cfls
