12 plant 250W closet grow SSH,lemon kush, skywalker og, bananna kush

Morning rollituppers!

This is my third attempt at growing, the first one was a small autoflowering grow, the second was a failed ( mites and 2 snapped stems ) scrog that yielded a bit more than my first attempt, 1 g-13haze, 1jock horror, and 2 trainwreck clones that gave me a little more than 1.5 oz total :-(

This being my third attempt, I have finally started to document my exploits on the interwebs.

THE GROW ROOM
the box i have built inside of my still functioning walk-in closet measures 2.5'd 4'high and 4'wide. I painted the walls white and have decided for this attempt to use mylar instead however i need to fix the sheets as they are starting to come off and wrinkle. The box is lined with a pond liner at the bottom so that i no longer need to worry about trays for my buckets, and so that I have more potential for the number of plants i could fit into the box.

I am running a 250w hps light inside with the lights at a distance of a little over 24" due to some heat issues with the closet being so far away from windows and other exhaust areas, and heat tends to build up quickly if the closet is closed, so in order to keep the plants safe i must keep them a bit farther away than ideal for a 250watter, but i have yet to see any stretching issues in previous grows.

the ventilation system is the newest addon in order to better combat the heat issue. I recently purchased a 800cfm fan, but until i have sealed the box better it isn't working to it's full ability, but this is an easy fix coming soon. If heat problems persist i will pick up a cool tube reflector or pursue other options if i have to.

THE PLANTS

I picked up two bananna kush plants from a co-op here in SD, and due to the iffy quality of the rest of the clones went to another place where I received 2 skywalker OG, 6 super silver haze, and 2 lemon kush. I've always liked this co-op:bigjoint: The only issue i had with these 10 plants is that a couple of them especially the tallest guy were showing some unhealthy leaves, but everything is picking back up and even the tallest one is growing probably the fastest

My instincts were correct concerning the original co-op, one of those plants have already died but that's another story. ( please check for yourself if the clone is rooted ). all plants were planted monday and tuesday ( 4/25 & 4/26 ) it is now sunday 05/02 so tommorrow will be one week.

As of now the plants have been vegging in 24hr light and i have watered twice, once with nice old fashioned ph perfect h2o, and the second with a light feeding to get the new little guys adapted to receiving plenty of food.

lastly since this box was used for the grow that was infected with mites, i have scrubbed everything down with soap and water, then bleach and water, then sprayed some rosemary and neem oil all inside before planting to help insure the absence of the mites.

QUESTIONS
What do yall think of the potential of this little grow? Im considering switching to flowering on tuesday since height potential is lacking in the box and i wanted to see a quick veg time on non-autoflowering plants.

And as far as heat. My other ideas were co2 to help balance the fact that the box is hot ( 88-98 degrees ), or grabbing some dry ice every couple days to place in the box and help cool ( for a bit anyway ) and boost co2 levels. I would ideally like to stay away from air conditioning since my girlfriend is already annoyed this takes up half of the closet in our little studio apartment lol.

Anyways thanks for taking a gander, sit back and watch the grow unfold.

Hi m8, welcome to RIU

Nice little cab, I would recomend a air cooled hood ASAP as 88-98°F is a huge temp and ya plants will suffer badly, even with Co2 at 1500ppm 82°F is ya max ya want to run. without Co2 ya after as close to 70°F as ya can get.

Lets hope them nasty mites are dead as they can live in a dormant state even when pregnant for months, I spray my carpets/soft furniture with a mild hydrogen peroxide solution just as a precaution.
