Any tips on handling the root ball?
Throw a bunch of Mykos on the roots. I also mist the root ball with water first so it sticks better. I do the same with the hole in the new pot that I premake first with the old pot. And, I try to be pretty gentle handling it, but these are tough plants.

I always loosen up the root ball. Sometimes if they get a little too rootbound I'll even tear off some of the roots on the outside to make sure the roots don't stay all compacted. I've never had any issues but I'm always dealing with healthy plants. I never use any products just straight into its new container. I always have explosive root growth but then like I said I'm dealing with healthy plants that only need a place to call home. I do the same when transplanting many plants like vegetables and flowers. I treat cannabis just like any other plant because it's not some special hard to grow plant. In fact I've found it to be one of the easiest plants I grow. If cannabis was a automobile it would be a Jeep. Tough and rugged. It doesn't need any special products or to be treated like fine china.

If it's rootbound, then I do loosen them a bit. You don't ever add mycorrhizae? Sure you don't need it, but I think it's awesome stuff.
