I have a bug and mold issue that I have nuked.
I have bad air right now.

I got a max fan and a guy is installing it into my attic tomorrow.
Deal is how does the "Physics" of the air flow work?

Do I put two 14 inch holes in the walls?
My attic has air intakes and he wanted to just put the fan there sucking from the vents and blowing over my plants.

1. Insulation, I hate that shit, wont it suck crap and blow it into my lungs?

Im really noob about the air flow and what sucks and what blows.

:dunce:

For one it sounds as if you are getting an attic fan. You dont want to use this as your exhaust. That would be like starting a fire outside because its cold.

You need to place an inline fan coming out of your grow room outside. You also need an equal line coming in for fresh air. Check my video out here, it kinda shows my setup.

An attic is a horrible place to grow. I am lucky that I god things hooked up right.

The inline vent is in the attic with a 14 inch flange in the celing.
The attic has millions of little air holes for fresh air.
Fan goes in the attic because its massive size and its being so loud. No plants will be in the attic.

help, im super stupid and the grow shop has no parts at all.

I thought you had to drill out two 14 inch holes in the exterior walls then put wall vent caps over them with back draft dampeners.
Then one end of the fan goes into the wall and the other provides the intake? Or outtake?
WTF, this guy is coming over and pulling air out of the attic and then putting 10 feet of 14 inch ducting on the floor with vents blowing on the plants.

Im getting mad after reading 30 pages lol.. I just dont even know the terminology or questions to ask the grow shop.

just find out what would work for your grow space, my inline is 10 inches and i know the noise your talkin about. i couldnt put it in the attic but i braced it from the cieling in my grow room and it extracts the air out of both my tents through a "Y" pipe. i open PASSIVE air vents to let fresh air be pulled into my tents from the negative pressure

If you have mold and insects its more likely you have bad circulation within your room rather than inadequate exhaust. Put up some oscillating fans prob solved.

the main object is to replace teh air in the room at a certain rate-

there are alot of different paths of thought when it comes to how often to turn your air over and i'll leave that research up to you.

is the fan an inline fan, or an open fan like from a car radiator.
