A 150 HPS you can probably only get 2 plants under it and not too big. Keep the light about 2-4 inches from the plant. A 150 just doesn't have much penetration so keep it close and you will be able to get some decent buds.

ok i got a sun system 150 dood. props on the choice btw. they stay pretty cool, (depending on where u live) but yea i keep mine about 6 inches from the canopy..

heres the ak i hav under it just started flowerin this week...

and the lil indica to the bak is under it during the day but under cfl's wen its dark. but yea everyday i see new growth tho.

it aint much of a light but i personally think they r underestimated. SO in conclusion, KEEP ME UPDATED. LoVe to C good 150 progress.

did u hav a strain in mind?? or even on hand already????

You can fit up to 4 if you dump the hood and run it vertically in the center of the plants... That also allows you to grow taller plants than a 150 can normally penetrate, and yields VERY well for such a little grow.

They'll be short to zero veg plants, don't try vegging over 1'.

I ran two 150's for quite a while and ditched the hoods long ago, best improvement I ever made to that little grow. I prefer that way to training/topping/fimming/LST'ing the plants and the yield is the same or better.

I like vertical because it's much easier, they're all natural with less maintenance and easily moveable/accessible if you need to work in there.

thatz crazy!! I just bought a 150 watt sun system yesterday and it came with a darkroom fan and the bulb. I'm not using the hps yet cuz I'm using these blue grow lights for veg. I should be flowering n the next week. I have 7 plants. 2 r clones watermellon skunk and white rhino about 3weeks old and the other 5 r bubba kush about 1month n 3 weeks old.

If you're asking me Johndoe I don't use any reflector at all, even though I'm running 1kw lights now not 150's the results are the same:

my hps has a ballace built into it so i dont think i can take the reflector off
So did mine. It's called remote ballasting it's a modification that's pretty simple you'll find in a search.

But I understand if you don't want too...
