so, lastnight i made firecrackers ( weed crackers) and all it did was made me pass out .... the problem is i dont have a timer and i slept 2 hours past the time i was supposed to turn my lights on .. so they got 10 hours of darkness ... is this a problem .... i now have to turn my lights off 2 hours later then normal in order for them to have there 16 hours of light .... all in all this means the cycle has been pushed 2 hours later which is bad cuz my normal schedule is ... off lights at 5pm on them at 1am .... so now its off at 7 ... on at 3am .. thats too late for me to stay up and i cant afford a timer right now

Timers aren't expensive. Go to walmart and get a cheap one. It is well worth it. You won't have to hassle with jumping up to turn lights on and off. A cheap timer should be well under $10. My digital (from Lowe's was $17) and the only reason I got one that fancy was because I needed 3 prongs. Yeah I am very safey concerned. Some say over so but it helps me sleep at night. Sort of like overbuilding better too strudy then too flimsy. If nothing else set your alarm clock to go off every 12 hours. That will work until you get a timer.

You could've just kept it on the same timer you were used to. One time won't make a big difference. I agree with Mogie, timers are extremely cheap. I got mine a True Value for $6.99!!! This will work great especially if you are out at night and too fucked up to come home and turn them off and on!

A timer is very important dude, I think mine was like $7.00. MJ plants like a regular routine, varying the lighting times could stress the plant unnecessarily. STRESS IS VERY BAD.

I got a timer for 5 bucks at walmart doesnt have the 3rd prong for grounding but I dont really care. I just broke off the 3 prong and pluged that shat in. Ive had it like that for almost a month now no problems.

the plants are 8 and 10 days old ... my healthiest is 8 days old .. does it matter then ... should i off lights at my normal time and dont worry about the 2 hours of light they will miss ?

Na I wouldnt worry about it. Just as long as they dont go like 12/12 for like a week nothing will really happen. If it was just one day get back on your regular shedule of 18/6. I left mine on 24/7 for the first 2 weeks. Then switched to 18/6.

if you can afford a timer yet run your lights 24/7 , u will speed up your veg cycle and in a couple weeks reduce to 18/6 and so on

definately 24 hours for a week or so then on to 18/6. Even if you can afford to have them 24 hours a day your plants still need to "sleep". If you are running a high powered light (ie not CFL's) I would recommend getting a timer with a 3 pronged socket. They do sell 2 pronged 24 hour timers at walmart for like $4.70 or something like that (if you live in the U.S. Do they even have Walmarts outside the U.S.?). cheap cheap.
