YO YO YO RIU... Just completed after 3 days building my new stealth CFL flowering cabinet. It started as a dresser I had for like 15 year and thought it would be a better cabinet! Its 31in/L x 22in/W x 13in/D. I am running 8 - 23 watt CFL that have a rating of 1600 lumens! 8 x 23 = 12800 lumens. So I think thIS will work for my perpetual grow. Im starting a new seed or clone every 3 to 4 weeks and LSTing. Im running a PC box for vegging them to about a foot or so and LST then in to the flowering cab. Hoping to harvest 1 plant a month. Im running a passive air system with a homemade carbon filter. Im useing a fan from a hockey table that we had a while back for the exhaust fan. My hood is also homemade. Bought everything from lowes, home depot, and thing i have collect from around the house. I spent about $100.00 US to do this build. Hope you like and I will take any constructive critisium but be nice...lol
THE DRESSER BREAK DOWN AND THEN PLYWOOD AND SILICONE SEAL.
THE "HOOD" IS MADE FROM A 6 INCH METAL DUCT PIPE THAT HAD BEEN UN-FOLDED AND FOURMED TO MAKE ITS SHAPE. THEN I ADDED A WHITE PAINTED PEICE OF WOOD AND ATTACHED IT TO THE "HOOD" THEN DRILLING A HOLE FOR THE CORD FOR LIGHT BAR.
NOW I PLACE 2 HOOKS TO THE TOP OF THE HOOD AND TOP OF THE BOX. THEN CUTT 2 - 1 FOOT LEGNTH OF CHAIN. ATTACHED THEM TO THE HOOKS ON THE HOOD AND TOP OF CAB.
NOW I PUT DOORS ON IT AND DRILLED A HOLE AT THE TOP SIDE OF THE CAB FOR THE WIREING FOR THE LIGHTS AND CARBON FILTER FAN.
HERES HOW I BUILT THE CARBON FILTER. I USE A 4 INCH IRIGATION TYPE 1 DRAIN( BLACK) SCREEN AND A TYPE 2 DRAIN (WHITE) SCREEN AND A 4 INCH COUPLER AND 4 INCH REDUCER.
STEP 1: GLUE THE TYPE 2 (WHITE) DRAIN SCREEN IN TO THE COUPLER SIDE THAT FITS IN TO THE SIDE THAT SLIDE IN TO THE REDUCER. YOU WONT EVEN NEED TO REMOVE THIS PART. SO IT OK TO GLUE, BUT NOW YOUR DONE... SO PUT IT AWAY!
NOW HERE THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FILTER THAT YOU DONE WANT TO GLUE, BECAUSE THIS IS REMOVEABLE SO YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR CARBON.
NOW I'VE CONNECTED THE WHOLE THING TOGETHER WITH THE REDUCER AND ADDED A CHAIN TO HOLD IT UP TO THE HOOK. I SHOWED 2 TYE OF WAY BUT I USE THE FIRST ONE... IT WORKS BETTER FOR ME.
HERES IT HUNG.
NOW BUILDING THE FANS BOX AND CONNECTING THE DUCTING TO COMPLETE THE CARBON FILTER. I USED A LEFT OVER CARDCOARD BOX AND FAN FROM A HOCKEY TABLE AND SOME BLACK DUCT TAPE AND METAL TAPE.
HERE I ADDED THE CARDBOARD AROUND THE FAN TO MAKE A BOX. THEN WRAPPED IT WITH DUCT TAPE AND THEN COVED THAT WITH THE METAL TAPE. ALSO ADDED WOOD DOWS TO KEEP THE METAL DUCT FROM HITTING THE FAN ON THE ONE SIDE.
HERE IS THE CARBON FILTER ALL CONNECTED TO THE FAN BOX BE FOR INSTALLATION.
HERES THE CARBON FILTER AFTER BEING INSTALLED. PRETTY QUIET THEN IT WAS. EXHAUST VENTED OUT THE SIDE WITH A TYPE 1 DRAIN SCREEN PAINTED COVERING THE HOLE.
HERE SHE IS!!! NOT ALL CLEANED OUT BUT LIGHT UP AND FAN RUNNING. GOT A KILLER NEGITIVE PRESURE IN THE BOX! SO IM STOKED! GETTING MYLAR BUT THERE SHE IS FOR NOW.
THERE IT IS....BUT WAIT THERE MORE... IM NOT REALLY FINISHED YET BUT DAMN CLOSE, JUST HAVE TO ADD A SHELF FOR THE POTS TO SIT ON AND A EXTRA FAN JUST TO ADD AIR CURRENTS. HAPPY GROWING AND THANKS IF YOU REP+ ME!
